From the central station walk downstairs to take the "S-Bahn" (= commuter railway) marked by a green S. Take one of the lines S1, S2 or S3 to Herrenberg, Filderstadt, Flughafen. Get off the commuter railway at the 4th stop at station "Universität" and leave the station through the exit "Universitätszentrum".
